TOMMY HILFIGER ANNOUNCES THE OPENING OF ITS FIRST STORE IN GEORGETOWN, WASHINGTON, DC

New York, NY (January 19, 2008) - Continuing with its aggressive retail expansion plans, Tommy Hilfiger U.S.A., Inc. announced today the opening of its first store in the Georgetown area of Washington, DC located at 3229 M Street NW (between Wisconsin and Potomac Streets). The opening marks the Company's fifth freestanding Tommy Hilfiger retail space in the United States, and the third store opening within the past four months.

"I am so excited to open a store in Georgetown," said Tommy Hilfiger.  "This anchor store fits perfectly into the landscape of the Washington DC culture and surroundings, from the colors to the fixtures to the product mix. It embodies all the elements that lend itself to our continued effort to elevate the brand, and we are thrilled to give our Georgetown customers access to the Tommy lifestyle."

The 3300 square foot freestanding Georgetown store interior features an eclectic mix of modern design, vintage furnishings and found objects, incorporating industrial elements with traditional "federal" elements to reflect the heritage of the DC location. The color palate of regimental blue and mink grey is accented by ebonized black hardwood floors and a hi-gloss painted exposed brick landmark wall. Aged linen and metal mannequins are coupled with antique bronze rolling racks and vintage tables and dressers decorated with eagle doorknocker handles. Military elements such as vintage US and Navy flags framed in shadowboxes, eagle mirrors and Army plaques adorn the walls as do vintage posters from the '50's, '60's, and '70's of local DC and travel destinations. A mid-century chandelier hangs at the store's center while Circa star-shaped lighting fixtures, lanterns, and Hollywood lighted cabinetry provide the warm lighting for the stores interior.

The store will feature pieces seen on the runway at Tommy Hilfiger's fashion show featuring a look that is sophisticated with an understated sense of style.  The Spring 2008 collection is inspired by the best in American fashion from the late 60's and early 70's- the clothes look effortless yet refined. It is a celebration of this country's golden age of American iconic glamour.

The store will also carry the best of Tommy Hilfiger Sportswear, footwear and handbags with prices ranging from $49.50 - $495. A customized merchandise mix reflects the local DC customer with items such as a collegiate vintage t-shirt collection chosen specifically for this store. Overall, the product is balanced between casual and dressier clothing.

Current freestanding stores include New York, London, Paris, Milan, Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Barcelona, Stockholm, Vienna, Hong Kong, Buenos Aires, St. Tropez, Istanbul, Antwerp, Munich, Athens, and Madrid, among others.
