TOMMY HILFIGER ANNOUNCES THE INTRODUCTION OF HILFIGER DENIM TO THE US WITH AN OPENING OF A HILFIGER DENIM STORE IN NEW YORK CITY

- Tommy Hilfiger continues strategy of growth in full price retail through introduction of new Denim collection in the US -

New York, NY (December 7, 2007) - Tommy Hilfiger U.S.A., Inc. today announced the introduction of Hilfiger Denim to the US with an opening of its first Hilfiger Denim store in New York City, SoHo. The opening and introduction of a premium denim line signifies renewed concentration on design with a contemporary edge that has become the brand's hallmark.

"Denim is not only a way of life in the world today, but it has great meaning behind it. It can be chic and sophisticated, it can be raw and rugged, it can be trendy and hip, as well as classic and cool," says designer Tommy Hilfiger. "Hilfiger Denim represents all of that with a premium product for both men and women.  I am not only extremely proud of the product itself from a quality, style and fit standpoint, but I am immensely proud of the retail location and environment in which it is going to be presented. It has a uniqueness and flavor that is exciting and new."

The debut of Hilfiger Denim will be housed in a standalone retail space and marks a continuation of the Company's expansion in the full-price retail arena. The 3,700-square-foot Hilfiger Denim store marks the fourth freestanding Tommy Hilfiger retail space in the United States, and the second new location in New York City in only three months. The Hilfiger Denim opening will be followed by openings of Tommy Hilfiger Sportswear standalone retail locations in South Beach, Miami and Georgetown in Washington, D.C. planned for early 2008.

The new SoHo store will open with the Fall/Winter 2007 Hilfiger Denim collection which is divided into three groups - Heritage, Forest and Ocean - each of which draws inspiration from iconic periods in American history. All three collections combine rich colors and textures with a range of luxurious fabrics and draw inspiration from both the brooding cool of James Dean and the iconic glamour of Marilyn Monroe. Prices for denim jeans range from $98-$175.

A limited edition collection of Selvedge denim for true denim aficionados will be even more special for those who pick up a pair signed by Tommy himself, available exclusively in the new Hilfiger Denim store for $375.  Non-signed Selvedge pieces will also be available for $250.

Beyond jeanswear, Hilfiger Denim carries western shirts, cricket sweaters, baseball polos, t-shirts and other basics in a sexy, simple style that's undeniably American. The store will carry both men's and women's product, including some vintage items.

Inspired by the Mod revival of the 70's, New York's Hilfiger Denim store decor is complete with disco balls, egg chairs, and vintage posters. Hardwood floors, exposed brick, black lacquer mannequins, a DJ booth, and a chandelier that can project images give the store a hip, interactive feel. Fitting rooms will feature an art installation of foil paper where customers can leave their mark.

The first Hilfiger Denim collection, launched in Europe in 2000, was designed to capture Tommy's affinity for jeans by updating an American classic with a modern, free-spirited edge. From the worn, rugged textures of vintage '50s denim to the engineered detail of street chic, Hilfiger Denim stays truthful to the essence of what denim is all about. With more than 50 free-standing Hilfiger Denim stores around the world, including 33 in Europe alone, Hilfiger Denim is now coming home.

This season's Hilfiger Denim collection also marks the first time the collection will be available to consumers nationwide, online at www.tommy.com.
